Choosing the right mattress size for your bedroom is very complex. A common problem is selecting a new mattress that perfectly fits you to make the bedroom more luxurious. 7. RV Queen or Short Queen

The alternative name for Short Queen mattress is RV Queen.it is typically 60 inches wide and 75 inches long, is 5 inches shorter than the queen mattress, and length is same as a full. However, a short queen mattress is perfect for small rooms and guestrooms, especially for RVs and Campers. Using a short queen mattress in an RV is beneficial because the bed doesn't bend which means it's very comfortable to sleep on the bed with the slide in.

8. Olympic Queen

Olympic queen mattress is also known as Super Queen and Expanded Queen. It is the same length and 6 inches wider than standard queen. It is typically 66 inches wide and 80 inches long. Compared to a standard queen-size mattress, the extra six inches of width in an Olympic queen creates a big difference in comfort, especially for couples who prefer more space while sleeping. However, for those who share their beds with pets, Olympic queens can accommodate them comfortably without feeling like they are on top of each other.

Texas king is the second largest mattress that has come in the market so far. It is typically 80 inches wide and 98 inches long. Although a Texas king is 4 inches narrower than a Wyoming king and 4 inches wider than a standard king mattress. This mattress is ideal for a family with small family or pets. So, It can accommodate a couple and one or two children. However, Texas king mattresses don't consider pillows.

Although, this mattress easily accommodates four adults or a family of two adults with two or three kids. A family XL mattress is a supersized mattress designed to sleep with multiple people like a larger family with kids and pets. it is typically 84 inches wide and 144 inches long with around 13 inches thick and is 36 inches wider than an Alaska king mattress.  this mattress is constructed with memory foam that offers pressure relief in sleeping and regulates temperature to prevent overheating. A family XL mattress is perfect for a family who loves to co-sleep with their kids and pets, or a family who prefers ample space to sprawl while sleeping. 

15. Crib

Crib mattress is well known as a mini bed or junior bed. The dimensions of this mattress are typically 27¼ x 57⅝ inches within 6 inches thickness. Crib mattress is specially made for babies and infants, and are useable for toddlers if the mattress is an extra one inch taller. However, there is an added benefit called "breathability" that makes infants breathable while sleeping on their tummy and does decrease SIDS risk. However, Crib mattress is also easy to clean.

16. Cot

Basically, Cot mattresses are same as Crib mattresses but are much softer than Cribs. It has 3 built-in storage drawers and 2 height levels, converts to a toddler bed, and has everything that is needed. But remember, the deeper the mattress the more risk that the baby gets their face trapped while sleeping on their tummy because of the extra softness, which can increase the SIDS risk.

Small single mattress size is same as Twin mattresses in terms of length and 8 inches narrower in width. 18. Super single

A super single mattress is essentially a wider version of a standard single mattress. The dimensions of super single mattress are 42 x 75 inches. However they may not be large enough for some couples if they don't have tends to sprawl out when they sleep.

20. Full xl

A Full XL mattress is a mattress that is five inches longer than a standard full mattress, but six inches narrower than a queen mattress. It is typically 54 inches wide by 80 inches long.  This size mattress is ideal for people who find a standard full mattress too small and don't get enough space like a queen mattress. However,  It is a good option for those who have a larger body and also can be used for dorm rooms or guest rooms.

What are standard mattress sizes?

As we know, mattress sizes vary according to the size and dimensions of the bed frame. There are multiple types of bed sizes available in the market. Among them, the most standard mattress sizes are twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king. The most common and popular mattress size is the queen mattress, which is chosen mostly by customers. Queen-size mattresses are the most traditional mattresses available in the market.
